It's gonna be another long day.Fire Protection, Stock, Or Small Fish PondĬondition Assessment Satisfactory No existing or potential dam safety deficiencies are recognized. You should probably try to find out everything they know and prepare to save the town from total destruction or something. This is all incredibly weird to you, but the goth kids seem to have been anticipating creepy occurances. You peer over your shoulder into the fog, almost expecting something to jump out at you. "You'd better be careful if you don't want to end up at the bottom of a ravine in dark oblivion." Uh, what the fuck? What is any of that supposed to mean? Do the goth kids know what's causing the freaky vibe you've been feeling? A chill runs down your spine. You quirk an eyebrow in response to the "darkness." "Days like these are breeding grounds for evil beings that suck the souls out of unsuspecting posers like you," Michael continues. "Yeah, mine too," Firkle agrees, taking a drag from his cigarette. "Don't you know what kind of darkness thick fog like this brings?" "Yeah, darkness like the kind that overtakes my mortal soul," Henrietta adds. "What the fuck are you doing out here, New Kid?" Michael asks. You don't really have a choice but to interact with them, now. You don't need to step closer to know exactly which kids are occupying the space. Four silhouettes stand out against the yellow backdrop. Hesitantly, you step around the side of the building and into the school's backyard. The fog lifts slightly as you approach the elemtary school. You have a very bad feeling about the way this day is panning out. A mysterious fog rolls in while you're en route. Now concerned over the lack of kids outside, you decide to check the school. The dreary, overcast sky above you adds to the creepy vibe of the day. Oddly, the streets are void of rambunctious children as you walk through the neighborhoods.

Insanity always follows on the heels of these kids. You're not even sure what's compelling you to seek them out in the first place. You're on edge as you amble down the street in search of your friends. You walk out your front door into the chilled Colorado air. You're anticipating something ridiculous to occur at some point. Typical weekends in this town are packed with action. You feel an innate sense of anxiety due to the unusual quietness permeating the day. Admittedly, you feel a bit weird wearing normal clothes instead of a costume. After breakfast, you head back upstairs to get ready for the day. You lazily pour yourself a bowl of cereal. You briefly wonder where your parents are and promply realize you don't care. You amble down the stairs and into the kitchen. You look less exhausted than you did last time you studied your reflection. Somehow, you managed to sleep restfully through the entire night. You're actually wearing pajamas for once. You climb out of bed and shuffle to your mirror. There aren't any life-altering events scheduled for today as far as you know, but anything can happen in this freaky ass town. Regardless, you sit up and stretch, mentally preparing for another day in South Park. You find it strange that you woke up naturally just now, and nothing startled you into alertness. You take a moment to fully blink yourself awake. You wake up to birds chirping outside your bedroom window. ← Previous Work Part 2 of New Kid Saves The Day Again Stats: Published: Updated: Words: 4,637 Chapters: 8/?
